GLA Housing Density Study
We worked with Maccreanor Lavington Architects (lead consultant) and Graham Harrington Planning Advice on this research study into housing density for the Greater London Authority and the Outer London Commission. The study explores how the new London Plan policy for optimising housing potential may be applied in different locations and character settings in London. It provides examples of real and hypothetical housing schemes in different local contexts, identifies ways of dealing with common issues, and sets out practical advice about measuring densities, particularly in mixed use schemes, to help ensure the policy is applied consistently across boroughs.
